Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Genielist may use cookies and similar browser storage, including localStorage.
Last updated: 15 June 2026
1. What cookies and localStorage are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. localStorage is another form of browser storage that can keep information on your device. Genielist may use both to make the service work and remember useful choices.
2. Essential cookies and storage
Essential cookies and storage help Genielist run safely and reliably. They may support security, routing, session handling, load balancing, forms and other core service features.
3. Authentication and sessions
Genielist uses Supabase for authentication and database services. Authentication cookies or similar storage may keep you signed in, refresh your session and protect account access.
4. Guest list drafts
If you start a list before creating an account, Genielist may store the draft in localStorage. This lets you continue the draft in the same browser. The draft may be lost if you clear browser data, switch devices, use a different browser or save the draft to an account.
5. Preferences and consent
We may use cookies or localStorage to remember preferences such as interface settings, cookie choices and other small settings that make Genielist easier to use.
6. Analytics
Genielist may use analytics cookies or similar tools to understand how people use the service and to improve reliability and usability. Where required, we will ask for consent before using optional analytics.
7. Marketing and third parties
Genielist does not need marketing cookies for the core service, but we may add marketing or affiliate-related tools in the future. If we do, we will update this policy where needed.
Third-party services, embedded tools, analytics providers, affiliate services, retailers or linked websites may set their own cookies when you interact with them. Their cookies are controlled by those third parties, not Genielist.
8. Managing cookies
You can usually block, delete or manage cookies and site data through your browser settings. If you block essential cookies or storage, parts of Genielist may not work properly.
If Genielist shows a cookie consent control, you can use it to manage optional cookie choices where available.
9. Privacy Policy
For more information about how Genielist uses personal information, read our Privacy Policy.
