Terms and Conditions
These terms explain the basic rules for using Genielist. They are written in plain English for an early version of the service.
Last updated: 15 June 2026
1. About Genielist
Genielist is available at genielist.co. It helps people create gift lists and wishlists, save product ideas, add product links, share lists with friends or family, and coordinate gift reservations.
These Terms are between you and Genielist.co, the operator of Genielist.
2. Who Genielist is for
Genielist is intended for people who want to organise gift ideas and share lists with people they choose. You should only use Genielist in a lawful, respectful way and for personal gift planning or similar purposes.
3. Accounts and guest drafts
You may need to create an account to save, manage and share lists. Please provide accurate details and keep your sign-in details secure.
Genielist may let visitors create a guest list draft before signing up. Guest drafts may be stored in the browser and may be lost if local storage is cleared, the browser changes, or the draft is not saved to an account.
4. Your content
You are responsible for the list names, product links, notes, images, ideas and other content you add to Genielist. Please do not add anything unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, infringing or private information that you do not have permission to share.
5. Product links and retailers
Product links may take you to third-party retailer websites. Those websites are separate from Genielist and have their own prices, availability, terms, privacy notices and delivery rules.
Genielist may use product scraping or preview tools when you paste a product URL. Product data such as titles, images, prices, retailers and descriptions may be incomplete, out of date or inaccurate. Please check important details with the retailer before buying.
6. Reservations and bought items
Gift reservations, bought markers and similar features are coordination tools. They help people avoid duplicate gifts, but they do not guarantee that an item has been bought, reserved, delivered or paid for.
7. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Genielist, attempt to access other accounts, work around security controls, disrupt the service, scrape the service, add malicious content, or use Genielist to harass, spam or mislead others.
We may suspend, restrict or remove accounts, lists or content if we believe there has been misuse, a security risk, or a breach of these Terms.
8. Service availability
We aim to keep Genielist useful and available, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may change, pause or become unavailable because of maintenance, faults, third-party providers, security issues or other reasons.
9. Liability
Genielist is provided as a practical gift planning tool. To the extent allowed by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by retailer information, third-party websites, unavailable products, missed reservations, duplicate gifts, service interruptions or user content.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Genielist develops. If changes are important, we will try to make them clear in the app or on the website. The updated date on this page shows when this version was last changed.
